If you have lost an item during your journey with Air India, you
can follow these steps to report and recover it:
At the Airport
Immediate Reporting
If you misplace an item inside the terminal, notify the Lost & Found desk at
that particular airport.
For belongings lost during your flight, inform Air India’s baggage services
office at your destination airport.
After Leaving the Airport:
Reach out to Air India’s Lost & Found office at the airport where the item was
lost.
Be ready to provide flight information, travel date, and a clear description of
the missing item.
Delayed or Missing Baggage
Immediately report unreceived luggage at the baggage claim counter before
exiting the airport.
You will be issued a Property Irregularity Report (PIR), which includes a
reference number for tracking.
Track your bag using Air India’s online baggage tracking system or contact their
support team.
Claiming Recovered Items
If your item is located, you will be contacted with instructions for pickup or
delivery.
You may be required to present valid ID and flight documents to retrieve the
item.
For location-specific assistance, get in touch with the Air India Lost & Found
office at the airport concerned.
Tip: Report any missing belongings as soon as possible to improve the chances of
recovery.
