AirAsia X » Children Flying Alone Policy
Young children traveling without a parent or legal guardian are considered to be
Unaccompanied Minors. If you are allowing your child to fly alone as an
unaccompanied minor, be sure to take every necessary precaution to ensure his or
her safety.
AirAsia X does not provide a full Unaccompanied Minor (UMNR) service. Ages
roughly 12–16/17 are treated as Young Passenger Travelling Alone (YPTA)
depending on AirAsia group policy and route rules.
AirAsia X does not operate a dedicated escorted UM service where staff hand
over, supervise throughout the journey, or accompany children door-to-door.
