AirAsia X operates a widebody fleet primarily consisting of Airbus A330-300
aircraft configured for long-haul low-cost operations between Malaysia and
Australia. These aircraft are arranged in dual cabin layouts designed for
extended flight durations.
Premium Flatbed Cabin
Premium Flatbed seats are located at the front of the aircraft in a 2-2-2
configuration. Seats convert into fully flat sleeping surfaces designed for
long-distance travel between Kuala Lumpur and Australian Airports. Passengers in
this cabin receive priority boarding, increased baggage allowance, meal service,
and access to selected airport services.
Economy Cabin
Economy seating is arranged in a 3-3-3 configuration across the main cabin.
Seats include adjustable headrests, seatback tray tables, and basic inflight
comfort features suitable for long-haul low-cost travel. Entertainment is
provided through streaming platforms accessible via personal devices depending
on aircraft connectivity systems.
Seat Selection
Seat assignment can be completed during booking or managed through the airline’s
digital platform. Standard seat selection is included or offered at an
additional fee depending on fare type. Exit row seats are allocated in
accordance with safety requirements and passenger eligibility rules.
Aircraft assigned to Australian routes are configured for extended range
operations and adjusted cabin service layouts, with variations depending on
demand and operational scheduling.
