When flying from Australia with British Airways, the baggage allowance varies
based on travel class and fare type.
Carry-On Baggage
All passengers are allowed one cabin bag (up to 56 x 45 x 25 cm) and one
personal item (like a handbag or laptop bag, up to 40 x 30 x 15 cm). The
combined weight of both must not exceed 23 kg (51 lb).
Checked Baggage
Economy (World Traveller): 1 checked bag up to 23 kg
Premium Economy (World Traveller Plus): 2 checked bags up to 23 kg each
Business Class (Club World): 2 checked bags up to 32 kg each
First Class: 3 checked bags up to 32 kg each
All checked bags must not exceed 90 x 75 x 43 cm in dimensions.
Executive Club and Oneworld status members may receive additional baggage
benefits depending on tier. Infants are entitled to 1 checked bag (23 kg) plus a
collapsible stroller and car seat.
Excess baggage charges apply for overweight or additional pieces and vary
depending on the route.
