Eastern Miles

China Eastern Airlines operates the Eastern Miles frequent flyer programme, allowing members travelling from Australian Airports to earn and redeem mileage on eligible flights operated by China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines and participating SkyTeam member airlines.

Membership

Eastern Miles membership is available without charge. Members receive a membership number that can be added during booking or before departure to earn eligible mileage.

Mileage Earning

Eligible flights between Australia and China earn mileage based on booking class, fare conditions and travel distance. Additional mileage may be earned when travelling with participating SkyTeam airlines or selected airline partners.

Mileage Redemption

Accumulated mileage may be redeemed for award flights, cabin upgrades and other eligible travel rewards. Redemption availability depends on seat inventory and programme rules at the time of booking.

Elite Membership

Eastern Miles offers multiple elite membership levels based on qualifying flights or qualifying mileage earned during the membership year.

Elite members receive benefits that may include:

• Priority check-in
• Additional checked baggage allowance
• Priority baggage delivery
• Priority boarding
• Airport lounge access for eligible membership tiers
• Preferred seating benefits
• Priority reservation services

SkyTeam Benefits

As a SkyTeam member airline, China Eastern Airlines extends reciprocal privileges across the alliance. Eligible elite members receive recognised benefits when travelling on participating SkyTeam carriers, including lounge access, priority airport services and additional baggage allowances where applicable.

Australian Travellers

Passengers departing from Brisbane Airport, Melbourne Airport, and Sydney Airport may credit eligible China Eastern Airlines flights to Eastern Miles or another participating SkyTeam frequent flyer programme, subject to the fare class purchased and programme eligibility requirements.
