travelling without an adult guardian on international flights, including
services operating between Australia and Fiji. The policy defines age

Children aged 5 to 6 years are not permitted to travel alone and must be
accompanied by a passenger aged 18 years or older. The unaccompanied minor
service applies primarily to children aged 7 to 11 years, where the service is
mandatory for travel on Fiji Airways international routes. For passengers aged
12 to 15 years, the service remains available but is optional depending on
booking preference and route conditions.
The unaccompanied minor service includes supervised handling from check-in
through boarding, in-flight monitoring by cabin crew, and controlled handover to
the designated receiving adult upon arrival at the destination airport. The
service is only available on direct, non-connecting flights, and routing
restrictions apply where multiple flight segments are involved.
Parents or guardians are required to complete booking arrangements in advance
through Fiji Airways customer service channels rather than online self-service
platforms. Documentation requirements include signed consent forms,
identification details for both the child and receiving guardian, and verified
contact information at both departure and arrival points. These forms are
processed at the airport check-in counter prior to departure.
A service fee is charged per sector for unaccompanied minors, and payment is
required at the time of booking confirmation. Additional operational
restrictions may apply depending on destination regulations, flight duration,
and special assistance requirements. Fiji Airways reserves the right to decline
acceptance if documentation, eligibility criteria, or safety conditions are not
