Korean Air offers a clear and structured baggage policy for passengers departing
from Australian airports, with allowances varying by travel class.
Checked Baggage Allowance
Economy Class: 1 piece up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Prestige (Business) Class: 2 pieces, each up to 32 kg (70 lbs)
First Class: 3 pieces, each up to 32 kg (70 lbs)
Each checked bag must not exceed a total dimension (length + width + height) of
158 cm (62 inches). Excess baggage will incur additional fees based on the route
and weight.
Carry-On Baggage
Economy Class: 1 carry-on bag plus 1 personal item (e.g. handbag or laptop),
total combined weight up to 12 kg
Prestige/First Class: 2 carry-on bags with a total combined weight up to 18 kg
Carry-on dimensions must not exceed 55 x 40 x 20 cm.
Infant Baggage
For infants not occupying a seat:
1 checked bag up to 10 kg
1 fully collapsible stroller or bassinet
These are in addition to the adult passenger’s baggage allowance.
Frequent Flyer Benefits
SKYPASS Elite members may receive extra baggage allowances depending on their
tier status, offering benefits such as additional free checked bags or higher
weight limits.
