Passengers flying with Korean Air from Australia can choose from several
check-in options for a convenient travel experience.
Online Check-in
Online check-in opens 48 hours before departure and closes 1 hour before the
scheduled flight time. Travelers can check in via the Korean Air website or
mobile app, choose their seats, and receive a digital boarding pass. However,
this service is not available to passengers with special requirements, such as
those traveling with pets, unaccompanied minors, or those needing medical
assistance.
Airport Counter Check-in
At airports like Sydney (SYD) and Melbourne (MEL), Korean Air check-in counters
generally open 3 hours prior to departure and close 40 minutes before takeoff.
Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours early to allow
time for check-in, baggage drop, and security clearance.
Self-Service Kiosks
Available at select Australian airports, these kiosks allow passengers to check
in, choose seats, and print boarding passes. They typically operate from 24
hours up to 1 hour before departure.

Boarding Time
Passengers should be at the gate at least 35 minutes before departure. Boarding
usually closes 10 minutes prior to the scheduled takeoff.
