Philippine Airlines (PAL) provides a comprehensive Unaccompanied Minor (UM)
service for children aged 2 to 11 years traveling alone on international
flights, including those departing from Australian airports.
Eligibility
Age Requirement: Children aged 2 to 11 years.
Service Availability: Applicable to international flights.
Not Applicable: Children aged 12 years and above are not considered
unaccompanied minors.
Booking and Documentation
Advance Notification: Inform PAL at least 48 hours before departure if your
child will be traveling alone.
Required Documents:
• Unaccompanied Minor Form: Download here.
• Valid Passport
• Visa(s) (if applicable)
• Health Certificate (if required)
• Parental Authorization Letter
• Accompanying Adult: An adult must accompany the child to the airport and
remain until the flight has departed.
• Receiving Adult: An authorized adult must meet the child at the destination
airport.
At the Airport
Check-In: Arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before the scheduled departure.
Check-In Counter: Proceed to the PAL check-in counter for assistance.
Escort Service: PAL staff will escort the child through security, immigration,
and boarding procedures.
Identification: The accompanying adult must present valid identification and the
necessary documents.
In-Flight and Arrival
In-Flight Care: The cabin crew will monitor and assist the unaccompanied minor
throughout the flight.
Arrival Procedures: Upon arrival, the child will be handed over only to the
authorized adult with proper identification.
