Passengers travelling with Royal Brunei Airlines from Australian airports are entitled to baggage allowances according to their booking class and fare conditions.

Carry-on Baggage

Passengers travelling in Economy Class may carry one cabin bag weighing up to 7 kg. The cabin bag must comply with the airline's permitted size requirements and fit within the overhead storage compartment or beneath the seat in front.

Business Class passengers may carry two cabin bags, with the combined weight not exceeding 18 kg. Each item must remain within the airline's approved cabin dimensions.

One personal item, including a handbag, laptop case, or small backpack, may also be brought into the cabin provided it fits underneath the seat.

All carry-on baggage departing from Australian airports is subject to aviation security screening. Items exceeding permitted size or weight limits must be checked before boarding.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Royal Brunei Airlines applies a weight-based baggage system on flights between Australia and Brunei.

• Economy Class: up to 30 kg
• Business Class: up to 40 kg

Individual checked bags must comply with airport handling limits. Any single bag weighing more than 32 kg cannot be accepted without repacking.

Passengers travelling on codeshare services from Australian airports should verify baggage allowances shown on their electronic ticket, as partner airlines may apply different conditions.

Extra Baggage

Additional baggage may be purchased before departure through Royal Brunei Airlines sales channels or at the airport, subject to available capacity.

Excess baggage charges apply when the total checked baggage weight exceeds the allowance shown on the ticket.

Sports equipment, musical instruments, and oversized baggage may be accepted subject to airline approval and applicable handling fees. Certain special items require advance notification before departure from Australian airports.

Passengers are responsible for ensuring baggage complies with customs, quarantine, and security regulations applicable to Australia and their destination.
