Royal Brunei Airlines Lost & Found

Royal Brunei Airlines provides assistance for passengers who have misplaced personal belongings during travel to or from Australian airports. The procedure depends on whether the item was left onboard the aircraft, within the airport terminal, or relates to checked baggage. Prompt reporting assists with identification and recovery.

Items Left on Board the Aircraft

Articles left inside the aircraft cabin on Royal Brunei Airlines flights arriving at Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, or Sydney are collected by cabin crew during post-flight inspections.

Recovered property is transferred to the airline's ground handling agent for recording and safekeeping. Passengers should contact the airline or its handling representative at the arrival airport as soon as possible.

Items Lost Inside Australian Airports

Personal belongings misplaced in terminal buildings, including check-in halls, security screening areas, departure lounges, retail outlets, and boarding gates, are managed by the respective airport's Lost Property Office. Royal Brunei Airlines cannot retrieve items that remain under airport custody.

Delayed, Missing or Damaged Checked Baggage

Passengers must report delayed, missing, or damaged baggage immediately after arrival at the baggage services desk before leaving the baggage reclaim area. A Property Irregularity Report (PIR) is created to commence tracing through the international baggage tracking system.

Reporting Requirements

Passengers should provide their baggage tag numbers, boarding pass, travel itinerary, contact details, and a detailed description of the missing item or baggage. Supporting photographs may assist with identification where available.

Recovery and Collection

Recovered property is returned after ownership has been verified. Collection arrangements vary between Australian airports, and courier delivery may be available at the passenger's expense where permitted.

Passenger Advice

Valuable items including passports, cash, jewellery, electronic devices, medicines, and important documents should remain in cabin baggage throughout the journey. Checked baggage should contain identification labels both inside and outside the suitcase to assist recovery if baggage tags become detached.
