Bus Services

Sun Palm Transport Group operate the accredited airport shuttle bus services to hotels, city centre, Northern Beaches including Palm Cove and Port Douglas.

Airport Connect is a bus service offered by Sun Palm Transport linking Cairns Airport with the Translink public transport network at north and southbound Sheridan Street bus stops.

The pick up point is near the arrivals area of both terminals. At the domestic terminal proceed to the orange shuttle bus booth where our staff will greet you upon arrival. At the international terminal make your way to the shuttle bus counter. No pre-booking is required.

Children under 13 years of age currently travel for free and Sun Palm Transport will offer a price match subject to terms and conditions.

Taxi Services

Cairns Taxis provides door to door passenger transport service throughout the Cairns taxi district. As well as the CBD, this covers the coastal area Ellis Beach to the north and south to Wrights Creek, Edmonton.

The company operates a fleet of 137 government licensed taxi vehicles comprising sedans and station wagons for up to four passengers, maxi taxis for up to 10 passengers as well as wheel chair capable vehicles.

Each taxi is equipped with electronic payment facilities enabling payment through all the major credit cards recognised in Australia.

Ride sharing services such as Uber are now available at Cairns Airport.

The Uber / Ride Booking pickup zone for Domestic Terminal (T2) outside Domestic Arrivals at the northern end of the terminal.​
