Melbourne Airport SkyBus Stop

Melbourne Airport is located at a distance of 23 km from city center. You can reach the Airport via taxi, ride sharing and bus services which run at regular basis especially to / from the Airport.

Taxi

Taxi ranks are located across from all the terminals. You can pre-book a taxi to pick you up from the airport. Your taxi will be ready to collect you in the outdoor section of the Terminal Car Park at Terminals 1, 2 & 3.

Melbourne CBD is approximately a 30 minute fare. The current Melbourne Airport access fee of $4.50 applies to all pick-ups from an airport taxi rank. The access fee is paid by the passenger to the taxi driver and is included in the taxi fare. There is no airport charge for drop off.

Bus

Melbourne Airport is serviced by numerous direct, regional and charter buses. Their pick-up and drop-off location is dependent on the service they offer. Speak to your bus company for information.

Public Transport Victoria (PTV) operates 5 timetabled services from the Terminal 4 Ground Transport Hub of Melbourne Airport.

SkyBus runs express bus services every 15 minutes between Melbourne Airport and Melbourne CBD, operating between 4:30 am and midnight, daily at a flat rate of $23.90 one-way, or $40.00 return for adult.

SkyBus Locations:

Melbourne Airport - Pick up from T1,T3, and T4.
Melbourne CBD - Southern Cross Station. Pick up from Bay 75 / Drop off at Bay 51.
Length: 20 minutes on a good day, 30 - 40 minutes when heavy traffic.

Ride Sharing

Ride sharing services such as Uber are now available at Melbourne Airport. For those travelling to the airport using Uber, your driver will drop you off at the designated area in the pick up/drop off lane outside the terminal. Rideshare passengers can be dropped off at any of the public drop off areas. These are located anywhere along Departure Drive and the Terminal 4 Transport Hub drop off zone on Level 1.

A rideshare access fee of $4.54 (inc. GST) per trip applies to those using ride sharing services at Melbourne Airport.

Simply order your ride share using your preferred app and follow the signs to the designated Ride Booking areas to meet with your driver.

Chauffeur / Hire Cars

Chauffeur / Hire cars can be pre-arranged to meet you at any of Melbourne Airport terminals. Drivers will meet at the Chauffeur / Hire cars meeting points inside the airport. The fee is agreed to in advance as there is no meter in the vehicle. Chauffeur / Hire cars must be pre-arranged as there are no service desks at the airport.
