Perth Airport » Transit Visa Information
Australian government regulations require airlines to disembark all passengers
and their cabin luggage at the first port of call into Australia. If you are
transiting Perth Airport from overseas you will be required to undergo the
regular passenger screening process, including potential random selection for
body scanning, prior to entering the transit lounge. This process is similar to
that experienced at your port of departure.
There are two terminal precincts at Perth Airport that are separated by a short,
15-minute drive: the T1/T2 precinct and the T3/T4 precinct.
If you need to transfer between T1/T2 and T3/T4, taxi and rideshare services are
available on the respective terminal forecourts.
There are airport transit lounge facilities that allow ‘transit without a visa’
TWOV eligible passengers to connect to their onwards flight provided they arrive
and depart from the same terminal.
In every case a passenger’s departing flight leaves from a different terminal
from the terminal they arrived at, an Australian visa is required to clear
immigration.
Circumstances at airports change from time to time and the above information is
only intended as a guide. Airport specific websites may provide more up to date
and further information that may also assist, such as airport operating hours
and accommodation options.
