Passengers travelling with Asiana Airlines are permitted to carry baggage
according to the fare class, route, and ticket conditions stated at the time of
booking.
Carry-on Baggage
Passengers travelling in Economy Class may carry one cabin bag weighing up to 10
kg (22 lbs). The dimensions of the carry-on bag must not exceed 55 cm x 40 cm x
20 cm, including wheels and handles.
Business Class passengers may carry two cabin bags with a combined maximum
weight of 18 kg (39 lbs). First Class passengers on eligible routes are also
permitted two cabin bags within the same weight allowance.
One additional personal item such as a handbag, laptop bag, duty-free shopping
bag, or small backpack may be carried onboard provided it fits beneath the seat
in front.
All carry-on baggage is subject to airport security screening requirements.
Oversized or overweight cabin baggage may be transferred to the aircraft hold
and additional charges may apply.
Checked Baggage Allowance
Checked baggage allowance on Asiana Airlines flights is determined by the piece
concept or weight concept depending on the route structure.
• Economy Class: 1 piece up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
• Business Class: 2 pieces up to 32 kg (70 lbs) each
• First Class: 3 pieces up to 32 kg (70 lbs) each
For routes applying the piece concept, each checked bag must not exceed 158 cm
(62 inches) in total dimensions.
Infants without a seat are permitted one checked baggage item within applicable
weight restrictions in addition to a collapsible stroller or car seat.
Extra Baggage
Passengers may purchase additional baggage allowance before departure through
the airline website, reservation offices, or airport service counters.
Charges for excess baggage are calculated based on route, weight, size, and
number of additional pieces. Oversized sports equipment, musical instruments,
and special baggage items may require advance approval before acceptance for
transport.
