Asiana Airlines is a full-service carrier based in Seoul, South Korea, with its
headquarters located in the Asiana Town complex in Gangseo District. Its
primary hub is at
Incheon International Airport, with additional domestic operations from
Gimpo International Airport.
Asiana Airlines maintains an extensive international network linking South
Korea with major business and leisure destinations. The airline is a member of
the Star Alliance network, allowing passengers access to coordinated services,
codeshare connections, and reciprocal loyalty program benefits with partner
airlines. Asiana Airlines also operates cargo services through Asiana Cargo,
supporting international freight transportation across multiple continents.
Asiana Airlines officially became part of
Korean Air after Korean Air completed
the acquisition in December 2024. Korean Air
acquired a 63.88% stake in Asiana Airlines, making Asiana a subsidiary of
Korean Air. Asiana Airlines still operates
flights under its own brand and flight codes.
As of April 2026, Asiana Airlines serves more than 70 international and domestic
destinations across over 20 countries and territories. The airline operates a
mixed fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft, including wide-body aircraft used on
long-haul services and narrow-body aircraft for regional operations throughout
East Asia.
