Passengers travelling with Batik Air Malaysia from Australian Airports are permitted to carry the following:

Carry-on Baggage

Each Economy Class passenger departing from Australian Airports may bring one cabin bag weighing up to 7 kg. Cabin baggage dimensions must not exceed 56 cm x 36 cm x 23 cm, including handles and wheels.

Business Class passengers are permitted two cabin bags within the approved cabin baggage dimensions and combined permitted weight.

One additional personal item such as a handbag, laptop bag, duty-free shopping bag, or small backpack may also be carried onboard if it fits beneath the seat in front.

Cabin baggage is inspected at Australian Airports before boarding. Oversized or overweight carry-on items are transferred to checked baggage and additional fees may apply.

Sharp objects, flammable materials, compressed gases, and restricted liquids above security limits are prohibited in cabin baggage under Australian aviation regulations.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Checked baggage entitlement on Batik Air Malaysia flights departing from Australian Airports depends on fare category and cabin class.

• Economy Value: 20 kg
• Economy Flexi: 30 kg
• Business Class: 40 kg

Checked baggage dimensions must remain within 158 cm total linear measurements.

Single checked baggage items exceeding 32 kg are not accepted due to occupational safety regulations at Australian Airports.

Infants without reserved seats receive limited checked baggage entitlement based on route and ticket conditions.

Extra Baggage

Passengers may purchase additional baggage allowance through Batik Air Malaysia sales offices, airport counters, online booking management systems, or the mobile application.

Prepaid baggage purchases completed before departure are charged at lower rates than airport excess baggage charges.

Oversized sporting equipment, bicycles, diving equipment, surfboards, and musical instruments require advance declaration before departure from Australian Airports.

Certain dangerous goods, including lithium batteries and smart luggage with non-removable batteries, are subject to additional transport restrictions.
