Passengers departing from Australian airports on Hawaiian Airlines flights are
required to comply with the baggage allowance shown on their electronic ticket.
Allowances differ according to cabin class, fare purchased, frequent flyer
status, and final destination.
Carry-on Baggage
Each passenger may bring one carry-on bag together with one personal item into
the aircraft cabin.
The carry-on bag must not exceed 56 cm × 36 cm × 23 cm, including wheels and
handles, and must fit in the overhead storage compartment.
One personal item such as a handbag, laptop bag, camera case, or small backpack
is also permitted. This item must fit completely beneath the seat in front.
Mobility aids, child restraint devices, outer garments, umbrellas, and approved
assistive equipment are accepted in accordance with airline and aviation
security requirements.
All cabin baggage carried through Australian airports is subject to security
screening before boarding.
Checked Baggage
Checked baggage allowances depend on the fare purchased.
• Main Cabin fares include the checked baggage entitlement specified during
booking.
• Extra Comfort passengers receive the same checked baggage allowance applicable
to their purchased fare.
• First Class passengers receive an increased baggage entitlement, including
heavier weight limits.
For international services between Australia and Hawaii, individual checked bags
must not exceed 23 kg in Economy or 32 kg in First Class.
Each checked bag must remain within a maximum total dimension of 157 cm,
calculated by adding length, width, and height.
Additional Baggage
Passengers may purchase additional checked baggage before departure or at the
airport, subject to applicable fees.
Charges apply for excess weight, additional pieces, and oversized items.
Sporting equipment including surfboards, bicycles, golf equipment, skis, fishing
equipment, and diving gear is accepted under Hawaiian Airlines' special baggage
provisions. Acceptance remains subject to aircraft loading capacity and
packaging requirements.
