Hawaiian Airlines (HA) is the flag carrier of the State of Hawaii in the United
States and is headquartered in Honolulu. The airline operates its primary hub at
Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu, supported by neighbour
island operations across Hawaii and an extensive international network.
Hawaiian Airlines has provided scheduled passenger services since 1929,
making it one of the longest continuously operating airlines in the United
States. In 2024, Hawaiian Airlines became part of Alaska Air Group following the
completion of the merger with Alaska Airlines. Both airlines continue to operate
under separate Air Operator Certificates while gradually integrating selected
customer services and loyalty benefits.
For travellers departing from Australia, Hawaiian Airlines offers scheduled
services linking Sydney with Honolulu, providing onward connections to the
Hawaiian Islands, the mainland United States, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand,
American Samoa, Tahiti, and other destinations through its own network and
codeshare partners. Australian passengers may also connect beyond Honolulu to
several cities across North America using Hawaiian Airlines or partner-operated
flights.
From Australian airports, Hawaiian Airlines provides direct access to Hawaii
together with convenient onward travel options supported by coordinated flight
schedules and integrated baggage transfers on eligible itineraries.
