Passengers travelling with Scoot from Australian Airports are permitted to carry the following:

Carry-on Baggage

Passengers departing from Australian Airports on Scoot flights may bring cabin baggage according to fare type and cabin class.

Economy Class passengers may carry up to 10 kg of combined cabin baggage consisting of two pieces. One main cabin bag must not exceed 54 cm x 38 cm x 23 cm, while the additional item such as a handbag or laptop bag must fit beneath the seat.

Passengers travelling in ScootPlus may carry up to 15 kg of cabin baggage across two pieces within the same size restrictions.

Cabin baggage departing from Australian Airports must comply with aviation security screening requirements. Oversized or overweight cabin baggage may be transferred to the aircraft hold and additional fees may apply.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Scoot offers checked baggage based on fare bundle and purchased allowance:

• Economy Value: 20 kg checked baggage included
• Economy Extra: 30 kg checked baggage included
• ScootPlus: 30 kg checked baggage included

Passengers purchasing Economy Lite fares from Australian Airports do not receive complimentary checked baggage.

Individual checked baggage items must not exceed 32 kg in weight or 158 cm in total dimensions. Baggage exceeding operational limits must be repacked before acceptance.

Extra Baggage

Additional baggage allowance may be purchased through Scoot’s website, mobile application, or airport service counters before departure from Australian Airports.

Prepaid baggage rates apply lower charges compared with airport excess baggage fees. Excess charges are calculated according to route sector and additional weight purchased.

Sporting equipment, oversized musical instruments, and special baggage departing from Australian Airports may require advance declaration and handling approval before travel.
