Scoot is a low-cost carrier headquartered in Singapore and operates as a
subsidiary of Singapore Airlines. The airline was established in 2011 and
commenced commercial operations in June 2012 with long-haul services from
Singapore. Scoot operates an extensive route network across Asia-Pacific, the
Middle East, and Europe using a mixed fleet of Boeing and Embraer aircraft.
The airline’s primary hub is located at Singapore Changi Airport, where Scoot
manages regional and medium-haul operations connecting Southeast Asia, East
Asia, South Asia, Australia, and selected long-haul destinations. Scoot merged
with former regional carrier Tigerair Singapore in 2017, consolidating low-cost
operations under a single airline brand.
In Australia, Scoot operates scheduled international services to airports
including Sydney Airport,
Melbourne Airport,
Perth Airport, and
Gold Coast Airport
through direct and connecting flights via Singapore. The airline provides onward
connections across Asia through coordinated schedules at Changi Airport.
As of May 2026, Scoot operates flights to more than 70 destinations across over 18 countries and territories. The airline also maintains codeshare and interline partnerships with selected airlines within the Singapore Airlines Group and external carriers. Scoot uses the IATA code TR and ICAO code TGW for international operations.
