As of June 2026, XiamenAir operates a modern fleet of more than 210 aircraft,
primarily manufactured by Boeing. Services operating between Australia and China
are typically flown using wide-body aircraft configured for long-haul
international travel.
Aircraft commonly assigned to Australia–China routes include:
• Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner
• Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner
These aircraft are configured to support long-haul operations between Sydney or
Melbourne and Xiamen, with onward connections across China.

• Fully flat-bed seating on Boeing 787 aircraft
• 1-2-1 or 2-2-2 layout depending on aircraft configuration
• Direct aisle access on selected seating arrangements

Premium Economy Class
Available on selected Boeing 787 configurations.

Seat Selection
Seat selection is available during booking, after ticket purchase or through the
airline’s manage booking system depending on fare conditions.
Preferred seating, extra legroom seats and forward cabin rows may require
additional payment.
Complimentary seat allocation is provided based on fare type and SkyTeam
membership tier where applicable.
