XiamenAir is a full-service airline headquartered in Xiamen, Fujian Province,
China. Founded in 1984, it became China's first airline established through a
joint venture involving the civil aviation authority and a local government
enterprise.
The airline operates an extensive domestic and international network from its
principal hubs at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, Fuzhou Changle
International Airport and Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport. XiamenAir is
a member of the SkyTeam alliance, providing passengers with access to an
expanded global network through partner airlines.
XiamenAir maintains scheduled passenger services between Australia and China,
operating direct flights from Sydney and Melbourne to Xiamen. These services
provide convenient onward connections to numerous destinations throughout
mainland China, as well as selected cities across Asia, Europe and North America
via the airline's hub airports.
Passengers departing from Australian airports have access to Economy Class and
Business Class cabins together with through check-in for eligible connecting
itineraries. XiamenAir also transports international cargo on its
Australia–China network, supporting commercial trade between both countries.
