Adelaide Airport (IATA: ADL / ICAO: YPAD) also known as Adelaide International
Airport, located adjacent to West Beach, it is approximately 7 km (4.3 mi) west
of the city centre.
The modern three-level, single terminal facility is
approximately 850 m (2,790 ft) end to end and is capable of handling 27
aircraft, including an Airbus A380, simultaneously and processing 3,000
passengers per hour. It includes high-amenity public and airline lounges, 14
glass-sided aerobridges, 42 common user check-in desks and 34 shop fronts with
various selection of shops and eateries.
The Airport offers free WiFi and there are plenty of outlets and charging
stations for charging mobile devices. Economy class passengers can pay to use
one of the Airport Lounges. The Airport closes every night from 11:00 pm to 4:00
am, but those already inside the terminal before closing are allowed to remain
on the landside.
Adelaide Airport is currently the fourth largest domestic airport and sixth
largest International airport in Australia. It is accommodates a variety of
international, domestic and regional airlines and hub for
Alliance Airlines,
Qantas,
Regional Express Airlines,
Sharp Airlines and
Cobham.
