China Airlines (CI) is the largest airline in Taiwan and operates scheduled passenger
and cargo services across Asia, Europe, North America, and Oceania. Its primary
hub is located at
Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, with additional operations from
Kaohsiung International Airport and Taipei Songshan Airport.
China Airlines is a member of the SkyTeam alliance and maintains codeshare
partnerships with airlines across multiple continents. In Australia, China
Airlines maintains regular passenger operations at airports including
Sydney Airport,
Melbourne Airport,
and Brisbane Airport.
The airline operates long-haul wide-body aircraft on Australia routes, including
the Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 777-300ER, supporting nonstop international
services between Taiwan and major Australian cities.
As of April 2026, China Airlines serves more than 170 destinations in over 30
countries and territories through passenger and cargo operations, including
codeshare destinations. The airline fleet consists of Airbus A321neo, Airbus
A330-300, Airbus A350-900, Boeing 737-800, and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft,
alongside dedicated cargo freighters.
